Compared with ceramic fiber blankets, ceramic fiberboards are hard refractory materials, with high density, high strength, and resistance to air flow erosion. The surface fibers are not easy to peel off and can directly contact the flame. They are not suitable for flame blankets, kiln temperature zoning and other fiber blankets. Parts.

Compared with refractory bricks, the outstanding characteristics of ceramic fiberboard are light weight and only 1/4 of the weight of the refractory bricks, which effectively relieves the load bearing of the furnace body. Furthermore, the traditional refractory bricks have poor resistance to rapid cooling and rapid heating, and are easy to crack. This phenomenon does not exist for ceramic fiber boards with excellent thermal stability.


Ceramic fiberboard is a rigid refractory insulation board, which is limited in applications such as curved kiln walls or shaped furnaces. Furthermore, ceramic fiberboard is slightly more expensive than fiber blankets and other products.

The ceramic fiber board will shrink slightly under high temperature, which is determined by the nature of the ceramic fiber itself. Long-term disrepair and long-term work will cause the lining of the furnace to crack and form gaps. It will easily cause damage and fall off under long-term high temperature.

The size and construction defects of the ceramic fiber board are also the reasons that cause the lining to be damaged and fall off, which affects the service life. Therefore, be careful when installing and overhauling.

After the furnace lining is damaged and falls off, it should be repaired with ceramic fiber boards of the same density and specifications.

The lining of the kiln needs to be regularly repaired to avoid irreversible damage to the furnace and unnecessary loss of property.
